Calling all Stewards!
Want in on the fun, but don't have time to be one of our organizers?
Be a part of the action without having to taste every beer that is put in front of your face.
Once again, the Bay Area Mashers presents the World Cup of Beer homebrewing competition. For the fourth year, World Cup will again be an MCAB Qualifying Event, recognized by the BJCP and the AHA, and will award BJCP judging points. BAM needs experienced homebrew judges to score the entries, award ribbons, and evaluate the Best of Show. And you know it's going to be a great party! Stewarding, however, does not require experience. It's a great way to learn more about beer from the judges.
Prelims and Finals are scheduled for Saturday, March 22 and Saturday, March 29 respectively at Trumer Brauerei, 1404- 4th Street, Berkeley. Take Hwy 80 to the Gilman St. Exit. Take Gilman towards the hills, away from the bay and turn right on 4th St., go one block and you're there.
Judging for all rounds will begin at 10 am; stewards are asked to arrive by 9:30 am. Breakfast will be available around 9 am. Lunch will be served following prelims judging. After the Finals, stewards are invited to the post-competition party featuring lots of great beers and food and the presentation of awards.
