New to the Bay Area Mashers or thinking of joining? Welcome! Here’s some stuff that might help you out.
Monthly Meetings
BAM meets at the on the second Thursday of each month. The meeting location can be found on the BAM homepage.
Meetings start at 7:30pm, but members and guests are encouraged to come at 7:00 to talk shop, drink homebrew and socialize. As always, pot luck snacks are more than welcome, and be sure to bring a glass for tasting and some homebrew (store bought beer is okay, too) to share. Try to bring a label along with your brew so other members can know what they are enjoying.
Stay Connected
All members of BAM have access to two very important methods for staying connected to the club: our excellent email mailing list, our pilot Slack Channel, and our club’s Facebook group. All announcements, updates for upcoming meetings, scheduling of special events, and sharing of resources for upcoming brew projects are shared in the email mailing list, and many are also posted to the Facebook group.
Style of the Quarter (SOQ)
Every three months, the club announces the style for the internal club competition called the “Style of the Quarter.” The entries are judged by a combination BJCP certified judges and other interested club members and we give out prizes for the top rated beers.
