Dear Homebrewers,
The Bay Area Mashers are proud to present the 12th annual World Cup of Beer. This will be using the updated 2004 BJCP Style Guidelines. We will be judging all styles and substyles of catagories 1-19 & 22 as listed in the 2004 Guidelines, which can be found online at www.bjcp.org.
The World Cup of Beer is sanctioned by the American Homebrewers Association and the Beer Judge Certification Program. As a qualifying event for the Masters Championship of Amateur Brewing (MCAB), the World Cup is dedicated to providing the finest judging possible.
The plethora of entries offers homebrewers an opportunity to compete with peer attempts at the same style. The number of entries also attracts highly experienced judges who only attend competitions that offer novel tasting experiences.
